What is massage therapy?

Targeted relief for pain — and a tune-up for your whole body.

Our licensed massage therapists work directly on the muscles, tendons and fascia to release tight knots, calm overworked tissue and restore healthy range of motion — so chronic aches, stiffness and tension headaches stop running your day.

Beyond pain relief, regular massage optimizes how your body performs. It boosts circulation, flushes the lymphatic system, speeds muscle recovery, lowers cortisol and helps you sleep deeper — leaving you stronger, more mobile and more resilient between visits.

How our massage care plan works

Three simple steps to feeling better

1

Consultation & preparation

Your therapist conducts a brief interview to understand your medical history, pain points and desired outcomes before you begin.

2

In-session feedback

We want you comfortable from start to finish. Your therapist checks pressure and comfort throughout, adjusting as needed.

3

Post-massage care

You'll leave with simple guidance on hydration and stretches to keep you feeling your best long after the session.

Dr. Cecily is an awesome diagnostician. As a massage therapist myself, I always sent my clients to her because I knew she could figure out what was going on in their bodies.

Without Dr. Cecily my pain would be intolerable. As a trade worker I'd highly recommend her — your days at work will be less plagued by aches and pains.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear for my massage?+

Comfortable clothing is recommended. Certain massages work best partially unclothed — you'll always be draped appropriately, and you decide what's most comfortable for you.

What parts of my body will be massaged?+

A full body massage covers legs, arms, back, neck, shoulders and head. You and your therapist will discuss the target outcome and agree on a plan specific to your needs.

Will massage oil be used?+

A light oil or lotion will be used. If you have any allergies or aversion to certain scents, just let the therapist know.

Will my massage hurt?+

No. Massage is designed to de-stress and work out painful cramps in your muscles or tendons. Deep tissue and trigger point techniques use deeper pressure, but it should always stay within your comfort level — just tell your therapist if you want more or less.

What health issues can be treated with massage therapy?+

Massage can help with anxiety and stress, fibromyalgia, headaches, insomnia and TMJ joint pain, among many other conditions.

What can I expect during my session?+

Your massage takes place in a quiet, warm, comfortable room with soft lighting. You'll lie on a soft, padded table with gentle music in the background to help your mind and nervous system relax.

Will I be sore after my massage?+

You may feel some tenderness — especially after a deep tissue or trigger point massage — but it should be minimal and short-lived. Let your therapist know any time something feels uncomfortable.

How do I know which type of massage is right for me?+

You'll discuss this with your chiropractor or massage therapist. They'll explain the benefits based on your pain points and you'll build a plan of action together.

How often should I get a massage?+

Every person is different. Frequency can be guided by your therapist or based on your care plan if one was provided.

Anything I should do after a session to recover faster?+

Hydrate as much as possible. It rehydrates your muscles and helps flush any lactic acid build-up from the body.
